The hackathon – Hack2Progress 2017

November 2017 - Santander (Spain)

Hacking starts at 12:01 PM on Saturday and ends at 12:01 PM on Sunday.

The solution

Did you know that you can save ~20% of light consumption at home?

Our solution is Energy Snitch. An energy monitoring system of your home.

This project was built in OpenCV, to detect when someone is at home. A backend in Python to send the information to our API in Firebase. And then Firebase communicates with the Android application in order to show the user a notification.

Also, we developed a basic Front-End (in AngularJS) in which the user is able to see in real-time all the information including the camera system.
